Upcoming Activities CHALLENGER MISSION TO MARS November 7th, 2009 - 0930 to 1130 Balboa Park Aviation Museum $10 dollar ticket; discounts for family. Get your reservation in ASAP. See Capt Rea. No uniform for this activity. SAN DIEGO VETERANS DAY PARADE November 11th, 2009 - 0900 to 1300 Downtown San Diego, CA Meet at 0900 at the parking lot on the north-west corner of the San Diego County Admin Building (at the corner of Grape St. and Harbor Blvd.). Address is 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA. There is very little free parking on the day of the parade. Alternatives are parking at one of the pay-n-park lots adjacent to the County Admin Building, or park at the Fashion Valley or Mission Valley shopping malls, pay the round trip SD Trolley fair and get off at the Santa Fe Railroad station downtown. The Trolley is about the same price as the parking lot (about $10). Carpools can be arranged (see point of contact below). Parents can sit or stand along the parade route and pick up your Cadet right there at the County Admin building after the parade.
